Brother MFC-7840W, MFC-7360N and MFC-8480 multifunction printers provide small-to-medium sized businesses and micro-offices working environments to meet the printing demands and needs of their office. However, like any other printers, these three multifunction centers are prone to have some troubles every now and then. And one of the most common problems is how to troubleshoot it when these problems all of a sudden occur while you’re printing a very important document.
That’s why for this article, we’re going to give you the procedures in troubleshotting your Brother MFC-7840W, MFC-7360N and Brother MFC-8480 laser printers:
Troubleshooting /Resetting Procedures for Brother MFC-7840W, MFC-7360N, MFC-8480
- Step 1 – Open the front panel of your Brother MFC-7840W, MFC-7360N or Brother MFC-8480 laser printer where you can access the toner cartridges.
- Step 2 – Press the Clear/Back button. A display message will then show “REPLACE DRUM? 1. Yes 2. No”
- Step 3 – Do not type 1 or 2, this is not the command you should enter. Instead type *00 on the keypad and you should be rewarded with the word “accepted”. This means that the Brother MFC-7840W, MFC-7360N or Brother MFC-8480 laser printer had finally initialized the toner cartridge in its tray.
- Step 4 – Close the front door. The toner counter is then reset.
