At ColorTonerExpert, we know that Halloween can be a scary time of the year in more ways than one. There’s obviously the daily run of horror movies, the haunted mazes and attractions popping up at those lots and buildings that are empty for 11 months out of the year, and less daylight hours…which means there’s a lot more time for things to go hiding in the shadows.
Then, there’s your budget for all those Halloween goodies. Costumes for your night out or office party, props to decorate your home, and of course, the candy you’ll be handing out once you’ve sufficiently terrorized the neighborhood kids with your ghoulish décor and fiendish costume.
When it’s all said and done, and November 1 rolls around, the last thing you’ll want to look at (besides all that toilet paper you’ll need to hose down from the tree in your front yard) is your bank statement and the list of all the Halloween goodies that probably won’t be making an encore next Halloween. Last year Americans spent $5.08 billion on Halloween related goods. That’s BILLION, with a B! While it might be a little too late to save on this year’s spookiest season, here are a few tips to help make next year’s Halloween tab a little less horrifying:

It probably wouldn’t be too hard to come up with your own frugal Kes$ha or Lady Gaga getup, but we figured we’d add this one if you were really out of ideas and if you just wanted a laugh. Wait, we take that back…there’s some serious business in there in the form of a ninja costume: http://www.themash.com/blog/entertainment/2011/10/20/diy-halloween-costumes-for-every-budget/
